BOOTHBAY
Ryley Austin bombed a two-run homer in the seventh inning as the Lisbon High School baseball team moved to 8-2 on the season with a decisive 14-4 Mountain Valley Conference win over Boothbay on Tuesday.
Austin, who finished 2-for- 4 at the plate with three RBIs, was part of a Lisbon onslaught that tacked on five more runs in the seventh after being up 9-4. Tyler Halls (two triples) was a perfect 3-for-3 at the dish, while Cole Bolduc (3-for-4) scored four times and drove in a pair of runs. Catcher Nick Lerette went 2-for-3 and Nick Austin roped an RBI double in the seventh for the Greyhounds, who had five batters reach base at least twice.
Boothbay (2-6) was held to just six hits by Noah Francis and Sean Scott, who split 12 strikeouts down in the middle in seven innings of work. Francis started on the bump and allowed three hits in four innings before Scott came on relief and closed out the game while letting one run cross.
The Seahawks sent four pitchers to the hill, with starter Ben Giles permitting three runs and three walks over three frames. Kim Babcock went 3-for-3 at the plate and struck two doubles.
Lisbon will host Hall-Dale Thursday at 3 p.m.

Ashton Kennison cracked three extra-base hits, and Troy Johnson and Kaden Cutler drove in three runs apiece to lead Oxford Hills to a KVAC win over Brunswick.
Kennison slugged two doubles and a triple, while Kaden Cutler and Brayden Bean each had a double for the Vikings (7-2).
Jonny Prue picked up the victory in his first varsity start, allowing all three Brunswick runs on eight hits in six innings. He fanned seven and didn’t walk a batter.
Zach Grant and Brett MacMillan had two hits apiece for Brunswick (0-8).
The Dragons host Edward Little today at 4 p.m.

Tucker Banger had two hits and Austin Magliozzi launched a two-run home run as the host Shipbuilders rolled to a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference win at Kelley Field.
Morse improved to 7-2 and visits Nokomis today at 4 p.m. The Black Raiders fell to 0-8.
Banger scored two runs, while Chase Smith and Tait Nygaard each had a hit and scored a pair of runs.
On the mound, Isaiah Cogswell and Smith combined on three strikeouts and two walks while permitting two hits.
Softball
RICHMOND — Sydney Underhill-Tilton blasted a two-run home run and doubled to power Richmond to a 17-2 win over Old Orchard Beach.
Playing the Seagulls for the second straight day, Bobcats coach Tony Martin turned to Underhill-Tilton on the mound. She struck out eight, walked one and permitted just three hits.
Cassidy Harriman singled three times in the win, while Bryanne Lancaster doubled and singled twice. Mackenzie Abbott singled and doubled, while Meranda Martin and Caitlin Kendrick each singled twice.
Richmond is 10-0 and hosts St. Dom’s on Thursday at 4 p.m.

Winslow scattered eight runs over seven innings en route to a KVAC win over host Morse.
Marissa Parks blasted a two-run homer and drove in three runs for Morse (6-3)
Hope Faulkingham singled and had the other RBI, while Micailah Albertson, Sierra Wallace, Olivia Potter, Paige Faulkingham and Mikayla Rose all recorded base-knocks for Morse.
Dory Kulis fanned 10 Winslow batters on the hill while walking none and allowing eight runs over seven innings. Paige Trask also hit a two-run blast for the visitors, while Cassie Demers doubled, and Bailey Robbins and Natalie Green each singled. Bregham Gagnon struck out four Shipbuilders in the circle.
Morse is scheduled to visit Nokomis today at 4 p.m.

The heart of the Oxford Hills lineup was hot as the Vikings defeated Brunswick in KVAC play in Brunswick.
Brunswick was led offensively by Shea Sullivan, who reached base four times including three singles and two stolen bases. Sullivan also had two runs batted in for the Dragons (0-8), who are scheduled to host Edward Little today at 4 p.m.
“Nicole Pelletier, Brooke Barter and Margaret Dickinson played very well defensively for us today,” said Brunswick coach Hugh Dwyer. “We just ran into a hot hitting team.”
Hannah Kenney of Oxford Hills blasted a two-run homer to go along with a double and single, while teammate Anna Pirainen added a solo homer in the seventh inning. Madison Starbind, Lauren Merrill and Kenzie Kahkonen also had two hits each. The first four spots in the Vikings’ lineup accounted for eight runs.
Merrill picked up the win on the mound for Oxford Hills as she went five innings, surrendering six hits.
Boys lacrosse
WATERVILLE — Aiden Glover tallied six goals to lead unbeaten Brunswick to an 18-7 victory over Messalonskee in KVAC action at Thomas College.
The Dragons are 8-0 and host Lewiston on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
Max Gramins and Christian
Glover each added three goals for Brunswick, and Connor Pendergast made seven saves.
Connor Smith scored three goals for Messalonskee, and Trevor McCray and Alden Balboni each added two. Dawson Charles made eight saves.

The visiting Tigers improved to 8-0 with a KVAC win over Morse at McMann Field.
Parker Hinkley scored a hat trick in the win, while Michael Poirier, Tristan Hebert, Tanner Hebert and Kyle Johnson added two goals apiece for Gardiner. Noah Keene made four saves.
Seamus Mann had four goals for Morse, which fell to 3-3 and visits Cony on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
Girls lacrosse
FREEPORT — Cationa Gould powered four goals into the cage to pace Freeport to a 16-4 Western Maine Conference win over Fryeburg Academy.
Regan Lynch and Chloe Davidson each added three goals for Freeport (3-5), which led 7-2 at halftime.
Hannah Frye scored three goals to lead Fryeburg (1-7).
The Falcons are in action Friday at home against Falmouth (3:30 p.m.).

The host Red Eddies received four goals each from Kaylee Jipson and Megan Steele for a KVAC victory over Mt. Ararat, which fell to 1-6 and hosts Messalonskee today at 5 p.m.
Jipson also had an assist, along with Haley Frohlich and Sierra Green.
Mariah Vaillancourt made 15 saves for the Red Eddies (2- 5).
Emily Welch had four goals to lead the Eagles, while Shannon Harty and Katheryn Hinderks tallied one goal each.
Abby Sirois had three saves in the first half for Mt. Ararat, while Casi Perow stopped eight shots in the second half.
