BATH — On Saturday Bath will celebrate the arrival of spring with Mayfair, a daylong event featuring the Citywide Yard Sale and live music. Along with Mayfair events, more than 15 downtown businesses will participate in a spring sidewalk sale. New this year to Mayfair is the Maker Fair, a series of activities and displays designed to engage visitors in the production or process behind a product or idea. Maker Fair activities and demonstrations will take place at various times and locations throughout the day. Coinciding is the first outdoor farmers’ market of the season at 8:30 a.m. in Bath Waterfront Park. Summer hours at the market are every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
This year’s Citywide Yard Sale has 35 participants registered as of the April 21 deadline. The Citywide Yard Sale provides an opportunity to support many local nonprofits as they host sales at their home locations or in Library Park. A list of participants and schedule of events can be found at visitbath.com.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
