HARTFORD, Conn.
The Portland Sea Dogs (12- 8) were down 6-0 after the first inning, but scored 11 of the next 12 runs during three innings in earning a come-from-behind 12-11 Eastern League win over Hartford on Tuesday.
Rafael Devers tied a career-high with five hits, going 5-for-5 with two homers and four RBIs. Devers provided the game-winning
RBI with his sixth-inning homer off losing pitcher Konner Wade (1-2). Devers snapped an 8-8 game in the fourth inning, greeting Wade with a three-run bomb to left field.
Portland began the comeback trail in the second inning, scoring four times off James Wynkoop. Nick Longhi knocked in the first run with a single and Danny Bethea (3-for-5) delivered a two-run double. Danny Mars provided an RBI single.
