
She attended Hodgdon Schools and graduated from Hodgdon High School. She went to hairdressing school in Augusta where she met her barber husband Francis C. Michaud. They married on July 16, 1948 and he passed away on October 14, 1998.
They moved to Brunswick to raise a family where she was a home maker and mother. She was active in the Catholic Church and was a volunteer at the Newman Center of Bowdoin College. In her later years, she was a part-time nanny in her home.
Betty was an amazing singer using her alto voice to travel and sing with Gene Hooper. She and her husband took many bus trips to Nashville where they made amazing memories with new friends. The couple were great dancers especially to country music, which they loved. Besides her husband, she is predeceased by her granddaughter, Joni Jones. Betty is survived by her three sons,

Christopher Michaud and his wife Linna of Topsham, and four grandchildren Justin, Jesse, Michelle and Melissa Michaud, greatgrandchildren Chris Grey, and Ryan, Darius, and Iyanna Jones.
A memorial service will be held Monday, March 13th at 6PM at Stetson’s Funeral Home, 12 Federal St., Brunswick, where memorial condolences may be expressed at stetsonsfuneralhome.com.
