BIDDEFORD — Peggy Lee Schermerhorn passed away Dec. 30, 2016, at Maine Medical Center.
She was born on July 28, 1949 in Farmington, the daughter of Charles and Emma Bean Bowie. Peggy was educated Old Orchard Beach and was a homemaker. She was known as the “Bull Dog Lady” as she raised this prized breed and was a member of the Bull Dog Club of Maine. She loved antiques and collectibles.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Schermerhorn.
Peggy is survived by: two sons, David Schermerhorn and Matthew Schermerhorn, both of Biddeford; a daughter, Wendilee Bustamante of Wisconsin; a sister, Pauline Trent of North Carolina; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her partner of 20 years, Jeffrey Rumery of Biddeford.
A private family service will be held in the spring. Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home, 365 Main St., Saco, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
