OLD ORCHARD BEACH — Several new classes are being planned for January at the Old Orchard Beach/Saco Adult & Community Education Program for January.
Hand Painted & Gilded Rocks will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 10 and Tuesday, Jan. 17.
This fun course is for all skill levels to design and paint rocks for home decor whether collectively in a bowl on a table, paperweights, doorstoppers, in a garden –whereever your inspiration leads you.
The cost for this class is $45.
The ID Useful Trees and Plants class will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10.
Trees and plants provide tools and medicine and this class demystifys the amazing world of plants. Explore winter tree life, identifying spring’s new growth, caretaker collecting practices, processing and storing your plants.
Please be prepared to go outside for part of the class and the cost for this instruction is $19.
The Feeding and Identifying Winter Birds class will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10 and Tuesday Jan. 17 at a cost of $39.
Explore the migratory birds that visit Maine including ducks and birds of prey.
