Nobleboro artist Priscilla McCandless is exhibiting her work in a retrospective at Savory Maine Restaurant in Damariscotta through Jan. 3.
“This show at Savory Maine is my chance to give myself a retrospective, with new work and a selection of paintings from the past, which have passed the test of time,” McCandless said. “There are a few that have never been seen in public before, so I will look forward to the response.”
To celebrate McCandless and her work, a reception will be held in the main dining room on Friday from 3-5 p.m. Savory Maine will provide finger foods, and wine will be available. The public is invited.
Savory Maine is located at 11 Water St., Damariscotta. For more information call (207) 563-2111.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
