“And now faith, hope and love abide, these three, and the greatest of these is love.”

1 Corinthians 13:13

Gifts of Love

We all have special gifts to offer, and the gifts of love are the best gifts of all. They don’t cost a thing. It is like lighting another’s candle from your own. It adds twice as much light to the room without diminishing your own flame. You could light 100 candles from yours, and your own flame would still burn as brightly as ever. It is the gift that keeps on giving. We all have within us the power to light up another person’s life by simply saying to someone, “I’m glad you are a part of my life.” or lend a listening ear to one who is going through a dark time. We can visit someone who is lonely, or encourage a child who is having difficulty finding his or her way. These are the gifts of love and their value cannot be measured. By offering them we bring light, not only into the life of another, but into to our own lives as well. God sent his light into the world to drive away the darkness, and melt away our doubts and uncertainties, light to pierce through the dark places in our lives and give us hope as we continue on our life’s journey
