BRUNSWICK — Bowdoin College sophomore goaltender Kerri St. Denis of Harpswell has been named the New England Small College Athletic Conference Women’s Ice Hockey Player of the Week.
In her first year with the Polar Bears, St. Denis has been outstanding in net in her first two contests. She earned NESCAC Player of the Week recognition thanks to a career-high 33 saves on Saturday evening in a 3-1 win over Holy Cross.
Through two games this season, she owns a 1.44 goals-against-average and .946 save percentage.
St. Denis is the first Polar Bear goalie to earn NESCAC Player of the Week honors since Lan Crofton in 2014.
Bowdoin is unbeaten after three games (2-0-1) and will return to action on Saturday at home against Saint Anselm at 1 p.m.
