AUGUSTA — The Maine Manufacturing Extension Partnership held its annual award ceremony for the 2016 Maine MEP Manufacturing Excellence Award of the Year and this year’s recipient was Coffee By Design, the Portlandbased artisan specialty coffee roaster and chain of coffeehouses.
“We’re pleased to announce that this year’s Manufacturing Excellence Award is presented to Coffee By Design. This award recognizes the company’s commitment to quality and community, through its practices supporting environmental and economic sustainability,” said Maine MEP President Muriel Mosher.
The MEP Manufacturing Excellence Award is presented each year to a Maine company that demonstrates the leadership, vision and manufacturing excellence that characterize next generation manufacturers.
