This month’s exhibit in the Crooker Gallery at Topsham Public Library is titled “Quintessential POV” and features work by members of Points of View Artists. It will be on display through Nov. 1. There will be an artist reception at the gallery on Satruday at 11 a.m.
Points of View Artists is a diverse group of Bath- Brunswick area artists who have been meeting weekly since April 2004 to hone their skills and provide constructive critique, working together to foster an environment of mutual support, artistic development, and lifelong learning. The group began with students who met in Kathleen Boldt’s Merrymeeting Adult Education drawing course, Drawing:
Learning to See and Drawing with Color. The experience launched each of the artists on an journey to explore other art media, such as pen and ink, clay, watercolor, soft pastel, collage, book making, photography and print making.
The Topsham Public Library is located at 25 Foreside Road in Topsham. For more information, call Topsham Public Library at (207) 725-1727 or visit the library website: www.topshamlibrary.org.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
