I urge voters in District 12 to support Matt Lauzon for state Representative. Matt grew up in Biddeford and graduated from Biddeford High School and then Babson College. He developed a very well-known web business that is now owned by Warren Buffet’s Berkshire Hathaway Co. He has dealt with investors, employees and vendors.
As a person with over 40 years in experience in small business myself, I can see his great organizational and business skills. We need to harness his abilities to bring jobs to Biddeford.
Matt is deeply concerned with the heroin and drug problems affecting our city. While our local administration has given these problems lip service, he got the parties needed to address this to join with members of the community to take action. He will bring this concern to Augusta.
Matt believes the best government is when all voices are heard. He will meet with his constituents to discuss their needs. He will connect people with the resources in Augusta to solve their issues. Unlike the current local administration, which has all but cut citizen comments at council meetings, he wants to hear from people.
Matt realizes the state must meet the people’s needs in a fiscally responsible way. Taxes are high in Maine, and local taxpayers are struggling with an almost $20 mil rate. He will work for property tax relief and to keep our seniors in their homes.
Please consider Matt Lauzon for District 12 state Representative.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
