BOWDOIN — The Town of Bowdoin Volunteer Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary will be holding a Fall Garage Sale, Bake Sale and Raffle with prizes from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1 at the Fire Department Garage on Cornish Drive off Main Street in Bowdoin, next to the town office.

Table rentals are available for $10/table by contacting Alberta Greenleaf at (207) 666-5752 or Patricia Elwell at (207) 666-5974. All vendors will get free hot coffee. Raffle tickets may be purchased in advance from members of the auxiliary or at the event for $1 each. Drawings for the prizes will be held at 2 p.m. the day of the event. Ticket purchasers do not need to be present to win.

In addition to the bake sale items, steamed hot dogs, chips, hot coffee, soft drinks, and bottled water will be available for purchase.

Proceeds from this event will help purchase equipment for the Bowdoin Volunteer Fire Department and for the benefit of the community. This year the Auxiliary and the Fire Department have teamed up to offer double-sided reflective street number signs at a cost of $15 each. These signs will have a blue background with large white numbers and will make it easier for the fire department to locate homes requiring emergency services. Orders will be taken for signs at this event.
