CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — All of New Hampshire’s counties have been approved for natural disaster aid for farmers who suffered widespread fruit crop losses due to cold spells in February and April.
Farmers are now eligible to be considered for assistance from the New Hampshire Farm Service Agency, including emergency loans.
Gov. Maggie Hassan requested the designation in May.
Hassan said it appears that nearly 100 percent of our state’s peach crop was lost, and apples suffered significant losses, as well.
Earlier this month, Hassan requested a drought declaration for several counties in New Hampshire, which is pending.
