The South Portland Public Library will celebrate the end of its annual Summer Reading Program with an outdoor concert featuring Pookie and the Boys on Saturday, Aug. 20, at noon. Those who attend should bring a picnic lunch, a blanket, lawn chairs and sunscreen.

Pookie and the Boys hail from Cape Elizabeth and their music is suited for children, teens and adults. The band members are Declan McCormick, Will Steidl, Sam MacDuffie, Christie Gillies, Katie Oberholtzer and Harry Baker. In case of rain, the event will be moved inside to the library’s Community Room.

Pookie and the Boys will be featured as the South Portland Public Library celebrates its summer reading program finale on Aug. 20.
