BATH
Main Street Bath is inviting friends and supporters to “Over the Moon and Under the Stars,” a gala event to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the organization, on Aug. 13 from 7- 10:30 p.m.
From its beginnings as the Bath Business Association, Main Street Bath has emerged as one of Maine’s first National Main Street Communities in 2001 and continues to be a leader in the Main Street Maine Network. Through the work of MSB and its volunteers, Downtown Bath has been recognized by the National Trust for Historic Preservation as a Distinctive Destination in 2005 and a Great American Main Street in 2012. Most recently, Bath was ranked No. 9 among the the Best Main Streets in America by USA Today.
“Over the Moon and Under the Stars” will take place in Bath Library Park under a canopy of white tents. The event begins with entertainment, hors d’oeuvres, desserts, and a cash bar continuing throughout the evening. Entertainment will be provided by Pat Colwell and the Soul Sensations.
“We are so excited to be celebrating our 15th anniversary with this event,” said Maine Street Bath Board of Directors President Gayle Hunt. “Main Street Bath’s success is largely due to our community, and the large group of incredible volunteers that dedicate themselves to the MSB mission and to continually working towards a better Bath in all that we do.”
Tickets are $50 and are available from members of the Main Street Bath Board or the Main Street Bath office at 15 Commercial St., as well as downtown at Now You’re Cooking and Ornament.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Main Street Bath and their mission to preserve and promote Bath’s historic downtown as a civic, community and commercial center. “Over the Moon and Under the Stars” is supported by Presenting Sponsor First Federal Savings, Silver Sponsor Bath Savings Institution, Entertainment Sponsor REMAX Riverside, Media Sponsor Maine Magazine and Friends of Main Street Sponsors William Raveis Carleton Real Estate, Sharon Drake Real Estate, and Legacy Properties Sotheby’s International Realty.
