THE ANIMAL HOUSE IN DAMARISCOTTA is again collecting pet food items for the Ecumenical Food Pantry. in Newcastle. Animal House President Aubrey Martin contacted the Chair of the Food Pantry MaryAnn Look in 2014, to see if there was a need for pet food for the pantry, which had previously only served people. According to Martin, “Many who have food insecurity also have pets, and we wanted to be sure that they didn’t have to share food they got at the Food Pantry with their pet. People have been so generous donating to the cause.” To date, the Animal House drive has donated over $6,000 in canned and dry food.
