
He was born June 7, 1939, in Portland, a son of Clarence and Ruth Currier Earley. He was educated in Westbrook, graduating from high school and trade school. He served in the U.S. Air Force, and later worked as a cross-country truck driver.
John enjoyed fishing and motorcycling, and had recently transitioned to a three-wheeler.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Hart Earley, on Nov. 22, 2005; they were married on July 2, 1988, in Biddeford.
He is survived by: three children, John E. Earley Jr., Jeffrey Earley and Kathryn Huff, all of California; three brothers, Ronald Osmond and his wife Marilyn of Raymond, Vaughan Osmond and his wife Michelle of New Hampshire, and Joseph Edward Osmond III; two grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
There will be no visiting hours. Graveside services and burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, July 14, in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Biddeford.
