On June 9, 1956, she married her true love and best friend, Richard “Dick” Lamarre, as the couple recently celebrated 60 years of marriage.
Connie was a former employee of Bowdoin College, working in the book store for many years, however her heart belonged at home. She always considered herself a wife and a mother first. She raised 2 children, with love and compassion. In her spare time she volunteered a lot of her time to St. John’s Church, where she was a lifetime parishioner and a Daughter of Isabella. She was an active member in support of St. John’s School, organized many parish dances in the 70’s & 80’s, was a member of the St. John’s Bazaar Committee, and began the longtime church fund raiser… the Century Club. She was a woman with a big heart who loved everyone, and a friend to everyone who knew her!
Connie leaves behind her husband, Dick of Brunswick; 2 children, Ann Armstrong, 57 of Sacramento, CA and Richard Lamarre, 51, and his wife, Suzanne of Gold Canyon, Arizona; 5 grandchildren, Christa, Joshua, Richard, Shawn, and Alissa; 2 great grandchildren, Charles and Kobe.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at 11:30am at St. John’s Cemetery, Brunswick.
