River Arts will celebrate the arrival of summer and the opening of its newest exhibition “Summertime” on Friday from 5-7 p.m. Artists from all over Maine showcase their talent in 90 works including landscapes, still lifes and figures. The exhibition runs through July 21.
The juror for the exhibition was Tina Ingraham. Born in Kenton, Ohio, Ingraham received her MFA from Brooklyn College of CUNY in 1996 and a Bachelor of Science in Design at the University of Cincinnati, College of DAAP in 1970. Collected internationally, her work may be purchased through Somerville Manning Gallery in Greenville, Delaware, Boston Art Inc., in Boston, Massachusetts, and Sylvan Gallery in Wiscasset.
River Arts is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is closed on Mondays. For more information call (207) 563-1507 or visit riverartsme.org
