Heaven Bound
Early Sunday morning, May 29th, Rusty Eltzroth left his earthly home and began his journey to Heaven. Travel is nothing new to this trucker and business owner of Victoria-Marie-Nicole, as he spent millions of miles on the road over the years. Many of these with his wife, and four fellow truck drivers.
Rusty was born in Fort Eustis VA and graduated high school in Escondido CA in 1976. He was involved in track, football and a state champ in wrestling.
He is preceded in death by his dad, Robert L. Eltzroth, a decorated Army veteran. He is survived by his wife, Carla “CJ” Eltzroth. Other survivors include: His mothers, Edith Eltzroth (KS), Jane Sharpe (UT), 8 children; Sabrina Mitchell (CA), Kristen Pell (PA), Rusty Eltzroth Jr. (GA), Tiffany Boroughs (PA), Beau Eltzroth (Kwait), Sierra Eltzroth (AZ), Logan Eltzroth and Laken Eltzroth (Topsham).
Rusty’s sisters and brothers include; Terry and George Safford (Topsham), Dorothy and Joe Cruz(KS), Cindy and Dave Gardner (UT), Robert and Connie Eltzroth (GA), Rocky and Lennie Eltzroth (CA), Deane and Leslie Sharpe (AZ), Ricky and Josephine Eltzroth (Topsham), Jeff and Debbie Sharpe (UT), Roger and Katrina Eltzroth (CA).
Rusty had six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rusty was very devoted to his extensive family located coast-to-coast. He was always there, giving generously of his time to make a big deal out of the smallest occasion. Family happiness meant everything to him.
Rusty’s life reached a pinnacle of happiness when he married the love of his life, “CJ”, and moved from his on-the-road efficiency cab to a ranch house in Brunswick. Rusty and CJ transformed the property from a house to a family home, sharing BBQ, songs, and lots of laughter with all crazy enough to visit.
On Friday June 10th at 6-8 pm, please take the opportunity to join the family to share some memories at Daigle Funeral Home, 819 High St, Bath.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 am, on Saturday, June 11th at the Woolwich Wiscasset Baptist Church, located 6 miles north of Bath on Route 1, in Woolwich. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Church Fellowship Hall.
Condolences may be made online at www.daiglefuneralhome.com.
