BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick High School junior varsity girls lacrosse team picked up a second straight win in defeating Messalonskee, 11-6 on Monday.
The Brunswick offense was balanced. Liberty Krauss got things going early, scoring on a pass from Lila Solberg. MacKenzie Dorr tallied the first of her two goals shortly after, beating the Eagles’ goalie down low.
The Dragons’ defense continued their strong play with excellent efforts from many, including Makenna Monaghan, McKenzie Wells, Emma Paledzki and middie Izzy Banks.
Gia Guernelli led all scorers with three goals for Brunswick. Dorr, Sara Scrapchansky and Liberty Krauss each picked up two, while Anna Nadeau, Lila Solberg and Grace Casey netted one apiece.
Riley Williams was solid in goal, picking up many acrobatic saves.
