BRUNSWICK — All are welcome to attend outdoor church in the Bowdoin Pines, held in all seasons, every Sunday morning at 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Worshipers gather in front of First Parish Church at the corner of Maine Street and Bath Road in Brunswick. Parking is available behind the Office of Development and Alumni Relations at 85 Federal St. Outdoor church is an additional way of honoring all faiths. Participants stand in a circle and introduce themselves before walking to Bowdoin Pines, and then them insights and experiences at the end of the walk. Some Sundays participants will learn about walking meditations from other traditions to enrich the outdoor church experience.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
