BOWDOINHAM — Simmons College women’s lacrosse player Lauren Williams was named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Second Team.
In her first season, Williams has emerged as one of the top defenders in the GNAC.
The freshman ranked fifth among conference leaders in caused turnovers in league-only matches and totaled 20 in all matches for the sixth highest total in school history.
The Mt. Ararat High School graduate placed 15th in conference- only matches for ground balls and collected 31 to rank second on the team.
Williams was one of three freshmen on the team to start all 17 matches.
