PORTLAND
The Binghamton Mets (12-10) scored four runs in an inning three separate times and cruised to a 13- 2 Eastern League win over the Portland Sea Dogs (8-17) in the series opener on Tuesday night at Hadlock Field.
The top six hitters in the Binghamton lineup combined to go 16-for-30 with four doubles, two home runs, 10 RBIs and 12 runs scored.
Andrew Barbosa picked up the win, allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits, walking three and striking out four. Teddy Stankiewicz’s streak of four quality starts came to an end as he allowed eight earned runs on nine hits.
