TOPSHAM — The Mt. Ararat High School jayvee baseball team improved to 2- 0 behind a five-inning no-hitter from Cam Grant against “Battle of the Bridge” rival Brunswick on Monday, winning 14-0.
Grant fanned eight batters and walked just two for the Eagles, who visit Lewiston today.
Kevin Giroux hit a bases-clearing double to cap off a seven-run second inning, while Ryan Glass had two singles and a pair of runs batted in. Cole Bryant tallied a single, a double, two walks, two stolen bases and scored twice for Mt. Ararat, which earned 12 walks as a team.
