MESSAGE FROM THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS: The Southern Midcoast Maine Chamber is partnering for another annual event with the Greater Freeport Chamber of Commerce.

Business owners, managers and employees are all welcome to attend the B 2 B (Business to Business) Marketplace Expo. It takes place next Tuesday, April 19 from 1-5 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn in Freeport, located at 5 Park St.

Entry is free with a business card and plenty of free parking is available.

Sponsors are Coastal Counties Workforce, Inc., Hilton Garden Inn, The Times Record and Tri-Town Weekly.

The B2B Marketplace features 42 local businesses from Freeport, Brunswick, Bath, Topsham and beyond. Coastal Humane Society and Tall Tails Beagle Rescue will be on-site with adoptable pets. Greater Portland Metro will have a new bus on display to promote its upcoming north service, which will link Portland with Falmouth, Yarmouth and Freeport.

Exhibiting businesses range from technology providers to business lending, staffing, signage and security. For a complete list, visit the chamber’s website at www.midcoastmaine.com.

Business people can visit all the exhibits to get checkmarks on their “passport” in order to be entered to win a weekend of camping and kayaking at Recompence Shore Campground. The networking provides plenty of time for face-to-face interactions, discussions and the making of future appointments. Attendees will gain information on and find products and services to bring success to their business.

A best exhibit contest is part of expo, with a prize will be awarded.

Free seminars are scheduled during the event, including “How to Get Your Business on Google” at 2 p.m. and “How to Get Assistance with Workforce Programs” at 3:30 p.m. Both are free of charge. A cash bar and free snacks will be included in the networking.
