SACO — Saco & Biddeford Savings recently donated $25,000 to the Dyer Library and Saco Museum in support of their Energy Conservation Challenge. The challenge will enable the library and museum to replace their inefficient heating and cooling systems with state-of-the-art geothermal systems that can tap into the immense potential energy that is stored underground, and use it to warm and cool the buildings at a cost about 60 percent lower than their current system. SBSI’s donation will help the Dyer Library and Saco Museum save on heating and cooling costs in the future.
