The Freeport Community Library is hosting a first-time exhibit by underwater photographer Stephen Karpiak of Dive H2O Photo.
Karpiak is an experienced research diver, specializing in underwater photography and videography and finding lost articles and fishing gear. Over the years, he’s provided dive work for Friends of Casco Bay, The Lobster Conservancy, Bowdoin College, Dolphin Marina, various lobstermen and landowners along the Maine coast and contributed digital underwater photos or video to MER Assessment Corporation, Gulf of Maine Research Institute, Maine State Aquarium and Gulf of Maine Lobster Foundation.
The exhibit will be on view through the month of March during library business hours, which can be found by going to freeportlibrary.com.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
