On Sunday, March 6, at 2 p.m., Brunswick Democrats will caucus at the Brunswick Junior High. It’s a day to engage in grassroots work and to make your Presidential preference known. We will select delegates to the Democratic State convention and conduct the business that keeps a local Democratic party functioning throughout the year.

We encourage all Brunswick Democrats, and independents who wish to register as Democrats that day, to participate. We are prepared for a big crowd so plans are in place to be sure registration is quick and efficient and the caucus runs smoothly. We have plenty of volunteers to help with parking, making sure people who need extra help get right in. Those who need to register can do so as early as 1 pm and will have a special line just for that purpose Speeches will be brief and carefully timed and there will be time to mingle with your neighbors and for those undecided to talk with each candidate’s representative before the voting occurs. If you are not currently registered to vote or enrolled in a party, you may do so at the Town Clerk’s office in Town Hall, at 85 Union St., any weekday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. or at the caucus. The caucus doors will open at 1 p.m. to accommodate those who wish to register to vote there. But we encourage you to register in advance to avoid the lines and to assure that you are registered in time to participate in the caucus when it convenes at 2 pm.

We look forward to active participation, lively conversation and an important vote to show Brunswick’s preference for President. This is a great neighbor to neighbor event, local candidates will be on hand and volunteers are already preparing delectables for a baked sale.

The stakes are high as we contemplate the future and who best to lead our Nation in the years to come. The caucus provides a rare, local and volunteer driven opportunity to express your choice for President This is your chance to give voice to your concerns and hopes and help send a message about our future. We hope to see you on March 6th. For more information, check out our website at facebook.com/pages/Brunswick- Democratic-Town-Committee
