AUGUSTA (AP) — A Maine man who was arrested last year following a drug raid has been convicted of trafficking in heroin, crack cocaine and marijuana.
The Kennebec Journal reports an Augusta jury convicted 39-year-old Franklin Arbour Jr. Tuesday after about two hours of deliberation.
The Augusta man and his girlfriend, now-33-year-old Angie Sousa, of Farmingdale were arrested in September 2014. Authorities seized 1,250 bags of heroin, 24 grams of cocaine, 12 grams of bath salts and more than 100 marijuana plants at their River Street residence.
Arbour’s attorney said there was reasonable doubt as to who owned the drugs, since other people were at the apartment.
But prosecutors say Arbour twice admitted that all of the drugs were his.
Arbour has been ordered held without bail pending sentencing.
