STANDISH — The Schoolhouse Arts Center is excited to present “Into the Woods Jr.” Aug. 21-23. It will include famous characters such as Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (and his beanstalk), and the Witch — meetinf and interact in an original story.
The musical centers on a baker and his wife who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the king’s festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a witch’s curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse and wind up changed forever.
Performances will be at 7 p.m. Aug. 21 and 22, and 2 p.m. Aug. 22 and 23. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for students and seniors and $5 for kids 8 or under.
