BRUNSWICK — Several employees of the Bath Iron Works Harding’s maintenance crew are going to see some extra green. The “Gang of Fourteen” workers are splitting the winnings from a $3 million Mega Millions lottery game, according to a statement from the Maine State Lottery.
Each winner will receive about $150,000 after taxes. The winning ticket was purchased from Cumberland Farms in Woolwich.
According to the statement, the winners’ game of choice had, until recently, been PowerBall, but they switched to Mega Millions for Tuesday nights.
“Fortunately for them, the guy who buys the tickets for the group was off on Tuesday so he bought them for Friday night instead,” the statement reads.
