BRUNSWICK — Teresa Kelly- Gillis Wednesday announced her candidacy for Brunswick School Board representing District 3, currently represented by Christopher McCarthy.

According to an announcement by Kelly- Gillis, McCarthy is stepping down at the end of his term.

Kelly-Gillis said she has submitted signatures and was certified as a candidate by the Town Clerk’s Office on Tuesday, July 28.

She has been the director of the Elementary School Variety Show for seven years, taught music and movement to preschoolers, taught at and served on the Learning Land Preschool Board of Directors and was on the Coffin School hiring committee.

Kelly-Gillis is married to Jef f Gillis, a native of South Harpswell and Brunswick who is the owner of WellTree tree care specialists. They have two children, 13 and 10 years old, who both attend Brunswick public schools.
