WEST BATH — Road work will begin on Hill Road in West Bath today and is expected to continue for three to four weeks.
Pine Tree Engineering be working on road improvements on six sections of Hill Road, according to a request for quotation issued to the town.
Road work will begin east of Mountain Road and proceed towards Berry’s Mill Road, and includes shoulder grading, underdrain, culvert installations, ledge removal, riprap slopes and ditches, gravel and hot mix asphalt paving.
According to town administrator Adam Garland, only residential traffic will be allowed on the road, and will be otherwise closed off in order to reduce congestion and create a safe environment for construction crews and residents on the road.
