SOUTH PARIS — Emery Chickering, Nick Bowie and Nick Attaliades-Ryan had three hits each to power undefeated Bessey Motors to an 18-8 Mercy Rule win over Highland Green in an American Legion Zone II baseball contest on Monday.

Highland Green fell to 3-6 and hosts Franklin County (Farmington area) today at 5:45 p.m. at Mt. Ararat High School. Bessey improved to 8-0.

The visitors jumped on top 3-0 in the first inning, but Bessey Motors tallied the next 17 runs to take control. Highland Green kept the game going with five runs in the fifth, but the hosts scored a run in the bottom of the frame to bring about the 10-run Mercy Rule.

Attlaides-Ryan had three hits in the win, with Bowie adding a double and two singles. Ty Martin doubled twice, Matt Smith drove in three runs with a pair of singles, Blake Slicer singled and doubled, and Bailey West singled, tripled and picked up three RBIs.

Reilly Kons and Harper Moutal each doubled in two runs for Highland Green, while Kevin Carter added a pair of singles.

ROGERS POST 11

Rogers Post scored seven runs in the first inning en route to a win at Auburn.

Drew Lashua had two RBIs as Rogers Post improved to 5-3. Austin Cox and Brandon Varney added a double each.

Darren Wood doubled for Smith-Tobey, which fell to 1- 8 and hosts Bessey Motors today at 5:45 p.m. on Kelley Field.

On the mound, Tom Warren got the start for the visitors, but struggled with his control in walking six hitters. Isaiah Cogswell went 2 2-3 frames, allowing three runs.
