Freeport native graduates from U.S. Naval Academy

Connor O’Donnell of Freeport, successfully completed four years of challenging academic, physical and professional military training, graduating from the U.S. Naval Academy, May 22, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Operations Research and a commission as a U.S Navy Ens. He is a graduate of Yarmouth High School.

Bowdoin native graduates from basic training

Air Force Airman James E. Morrill graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio- Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Morrill is the son of Heidi and Michael Morrill of Bowdoin, and brother of Kelly Jenks of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Ashley Morrill of Brunswick. He graduated in 2014 from Central Maine Christian Academy, Lewiston.
