MESSAGE FROM THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS: The mission of the Southern Midcoast Maine Chamber (SMMC) is to champion the growth, success and quality of life in our region. As a membership supported organization, we work for businesses and organizations to help them realize that mission.

UPCOMING EVENTS:

— Tonight’s (June 24) Chamber After Hours is hosted by The Highlands. Meet the new executive director and owner for The Highlands at June Chamber After Hours. Enjoy the summertime weather under a tent located near the Holden Frost mansion (look for signs on Elm Street, Topsham). Enjoy refreshments, beer, wine, water and lemonade. Business people are invited to attend anywhere from 5-7 p.m. This event provides an opportunity to make new connections, gather business leads and reconnect with business owners. The event is free of charge.

— The July 15 Small Business Success Seminar is where you’ll learn to build recognition of your business with Pinterest and Instagram. There is no fee to attend. Bring your lunch (or not) and your smartphone or tablet. The seminar is at the Topsham Public Library, 25 Foreside Road, from noon to 1 p.m.
