BATH — Kristi Hyde, executive director of The Plant Memorial Home in Bath, recently announced that an open house is scheduled for Thursday, June 25 from 3-4 p.m.
The public is invited and no reservations are necessary.
The Plant Memorial Home is a nonprofit independent and assisted living facility located on the banks of the Kennebec River.
The open house will allow the public to visit the building and grounds, and to see the interior renovations that have been completed recently on the historic home that was built in 1917. Hyde said that all the work has been accomplished with materials that enhance the beauty of the natural red maple moldings and doors. New, energy-efficient lighting has been installed along with “resident friendly” comfortable furniture.
Hyde, board and staff members will be at the event to discuss the completed and planned renovations, and will answer any questions about the home.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
