LISBON HIGH SCHOOL is hosting a book fair from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 2, in the library at the LHS campus, located at 2 Sugg Drive in Lisbon Falls. As a result of a new partnership in education with Barnes and Noble, this is an opportunity for students, parents and community members to purchase books tax free and with an educators’ discount of 20 percent off all purchases. “Proceeds from the event will directly benefit the students at Lisbon High Schools” said District Librarian Katy Dodge. From left, assisting with the planning for the event, are Amanda Mason, a LHS young adult volunteer; Library Assistant Jennifer Thompson, and Dodge. “This event coincides nicely with the parent teacher conference scheduled the same evening,” added Thompson.
