POULTNEY, Vt. — Maine Maritime Academy upended Green Mountain College, 66- 17, in North Atlantic Conference women’s basketball action on Friday evening at the Eagle Dome.
Green Mountain closed the Mariner lead to 9-8 on an Allison Wadsworth jumpshot early in the game, but MMA outscored the Eagles 27-2 to close out the first half, taking a 36-10 lead into the halftime.
Former Mt. Ararat High School standout Kristi Willey had a game-high 15 points in the win and added 11 rebounds for a doubledouble. She also blocked three shots.
