BELFAST — Ethan Winglass scored 32 points as the quick-starting Morse High School boys basketball team downed Belfast, 79-68, in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B game on Thursday.
The game was postponed twice due to weather and frozen pipes, but the Shipbuilders showed up ready to go, jumping on top 26-10 in the first. The Shipbuilders led 47-30 and 57-44 after second and third quarters, respectively.
Keegan McDonough added 28 points, including 11 at the free-throw line. Casey Watson drained three from behind the arc for nine points, and Juwan Moore powered his way to eight points.
Zavier Roman led four Lions (6-9) in double figures with 17 points. Stephen Davis had 15, Levi Lapham 13 and Garrett Hamlin 10.

The Bobcats handed Seacoast Christian its second loss (13-2), coming from behind in the fourth quarter for a Western D win.
Down 44-42 heading to the fourth, Cam Emmons scored seven of his game-high 27 points in the final frame to give 10-4 Richmond the win.
Emmons hit six 3-pointers, including four the first quarter as the Bobcats jumped out to a 17-9 lead. Richmond held a 32-23 edge at the half, but Seacoast battled back with a strong third as Caleb LeCroy hit three 3-pointers.
In the fourth, Cody Tribbet and Zach Small each drained a trey as Richmond nailed 10 3- pointers in all compared to eight from Seacoast.
Tim Eaton led the visitors with 15 points.
Richmond visits Rangeley tonight at 6:30 p.m.

The Greyhounds improved to 5-11 with a Mountain Valley Conference win over Mt. Abram (3-13) at Lisbon Falls.
Johnny Yim scored 11 of his game-high 22 points in the first quarter as Lisbon took a 17-9 lead. A 21-10 scoring advantage in the second gave the hosts a 38-19 halftime lead.
Jonah Sautter added 11 points in the win, with R.J. Sargent picking up nine points.
Tristen Dyer paced Mt. Abram with 14 points.
Lisbon visits Oak Hill on Monday at 7 p.m.

St. Dom’s outscored Wiscasset 12-5 in the fourth quarter for a Mountain Valley Conference win at Auburn.
The Saints led 12-6 and 19-13 at the first two quarter breaks, but the Wolverines (4- 12) outscored St. Dom’s 13-4 in the third quarter for a 26-23 advantage.
Mike Bryant had 16 points in the win, with Becket Wagner adding 10.
Brandon Sprague paced Wiscasset with 15 points, followed by Ethan James with 10.
The Wolverines visit Madison on Monday at 7 p.m.

The Yachtsmen jumped out to a 31- 2 first-quarter lead and cruised to a Western Maine Conference win at Freeport.
Jack Simonds tallied 29 points for Falmouth (12-3), with Thomas Coyne, Colin Coyne and John Shaw adding nine points apiece.
Jack Davenport and Brendan Qualls had 11 points each for Freeport (0-16), which visits Kennebunk on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
