BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick High School freshman boys basketball team opened its season recently with a pair of wins.
Against Cony, the Dragons held on for a 43-41 victory. Alex Small had a team-high 13 points, while Sam Dorval chipped in eight and Alex Demars eight. Dorval also pulled down 19 rebounds and was a defensive standout.
Brunswick hosted Edward Little on Wednesday and won another close one, this time 36-34.
Dorval had 10 points, with Small adding nine.
Joe Almgren hauled down 15 boards in the two games, while Kyle Hanson led the Dragons with 10 steals. Dawson Hebert added four assists.
Brunswick visits Hampden Academy tonight.
