ENCINO, CA — Jeffrey Kenneth Bullingham Jr., 38, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Nov. 27, 2014, in Tarzana, Calif., following a brief illness. He was born in Brunswick, Maine, on Sept. 18, 1976, the son of Jeffrey K. Bullingham Sr. and Janet I. (Small) Bullingham.

Jeff was a graduate of the Brunswick High School, class of 1994. He graduated from the University of Southern California in 1998 with a degree in political science and was part of the school’s prestigious “Thematic Options” Honors Program. While attending USC, Jeff served as an editor of the campus newspaper, The Daily Trojan. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2002, after which he practiced in both the San Diego and Los Angeles areas.

Jeff was an avid sports fan and although he spent half his life in California, he remained fiercely loyal to his New England teams. He loved spending time with his family to whom he brought immeasurable joy. Jeff lived every day with kindness, compassion, and humor.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Kenneth Bullingham and Thelma Margo Bullingham.

He is survived by his father Jeffrey and his wife Kathy Plante of North Port, FL; his mother Janet of Auburn, ME; his sister Jamie of Auburn, ME; his maternal grandparents Harold and Ethel Small of Bowdoin, ME; uncles David Small and his wife Paula, of Nashua, NH, Harold Small III of Newmarket, NH, Mike LePard of Cambridgeshire, UK, and Mike Sandlin and his wife Mary of Palestine, TX; aunts Sandra Wescott of Westbrook, ME and Donna Beck of Lapine, AL; several cousins; and a large circle of extended family and friends here in the U.S. and in the UK.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, Dec. 5, 2014, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal St., Brunswick. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the same location.
