GEORGETOWN —The five local artists of the Old Post Office Gallery in Georgetown, invite the community to their second annual holiday show at the Georgetown Historical Society, featuring paintings and fine crafts perfect for holiday giving. The show runs for eight days only, on Nov. 8, 12, 15, 19, 22, and 29, and on December 3 and 6. Wednesday hours are 10 until 4; Saturday hours are 10 until 2.
Participating artists are Barbara Bean, Cory Hart, Letty Husson, Léa Peterson, and Denise Rankin. Their subject matter includes Maine landmarks and cottages, seascapes, waterfowl (including puffins), lobster boats, the forest floor, wildflowers and mushrooms, and stilllifes ranging from penny candy to typewriter keys. Original paintings, assemblages, prints of favorite local scenes, cards, handcrafted jewelry, whimsical plaster and wire chickens, and Shaker oval boxes and trays will also be available.
Light refreshments will be served on each of the days.
The GHS is located at 20 Bay Point Road in Georgetown.
