I first met Peter Blachly a few years ago when he, as Executive Director of the Maine Alliance for Arts Education, assembled a number of people in the Bath area into a working group that looked for ways to better involve our community and our young people in the arts. I came away from that experience knowing Peter as a resourceful and knowledgeable person who has the best interests of Bath at heart.

I have since worked with Peter (better known professionally as Peter Alexander) at the Chocolate Church, where his volunteer efforts made possible the “Third Friday Concerts” that coincide with Art Walk, and the wonderful free concerts CCAC produced this summer in Waterfront Park.

I am pleased to see that Peter is now running for City Council in Ward Three, and I encourage Bath citizens in that ward to make their votes count, and support Peter Blachly for City Council.
