John L. Uhle passed away on Oct. 16, 2014, at his home in Zephyrhills, FL. He was born on June 30, 1944, in Martinsburg, W.VA, to the late Harry G. and Anne Uhle.
John attended schools in Bowdoinham and Richmond. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. After his military service, he became a self-employed contractor in the Bowdoinham area. He was also a member of Bowdoinham Volunteer Fire Department.
John retired to Zephyrhills, FL, where he continued to enjoy hunting, fishing, playing golf, billiards and especially billiard tournaments.
He is survived by three brothers, Stanley (Sonny) and wife Suzanne of Bowdoinham, Richard and wife Carol of Leesburg, VA, and Michael and wife Brenda of Sabattus; two sisters, Barbara DeGood of Virginia Beach, VA, and June Matson and husband Russell of Eliot, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Burial will be at a later date.
Donations in John’s memory may be made to the Bowdoinham Volunteer Fire Department.
