Kids love being read to, and they love riding the trolley. Patten Free Library has combined the best of both worlds with the “Wheels on the Bus” storytime series.
Hop on the Bath Trolley with your children for an amazingly fun Storytime adventure, about 45 minutes filled with guitar songs and stories with Carol, the Children’s Librarian, through the City of Bath, every Tuesday morning in September and Mid-October. There is such a thing as a free ride… Children under 6 years old and adults with children ride for free, but hurry, there are only a couple more trips to be had.
Since the Storytime is continuous, you can catch a ride on the Trolley at any of the following stops and not miss the fun:
The bus leaves from City Hall, at10:30 a.m. It makes stops at the Hampton Inn at10:35 a.m., Brackett’s Market at 10:40 a.m. Winnegance Store, at 11 a.m. Plant Home, at 11:03 a.m., Maine Maritime Museum at 11:05 a.m. the Railroad Station at 11:10 a.m. and end at the Patten Free Library about 11:15 a.m.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
