BRUNSWICK — At Last … Salon & Day Spa’s fourth annual silent auction was another success. This year’s auction funds went to the CHANS Hospice Volunteer Program (www.chanshomehealthcare.com).
The total money raised was $2,390 and will help purchase a smart TV to help streamline their training program. Remaining funds will be used for their lending library and sending hospice volunteers to additional training seminars.
Goods and services were donated by area businesses, artists and supporters around Brunswick, Topsham and Bath.
Every year, At Last … Salon & Day Spa selects a nonprofit to host a silent auction. Previous years money has been raised for Meals on Wheels, Coastal Humane Society and Coastal Maine Great Dane Rescue.
Next year’s auction will be for Embrace A Vet, a nonprofit for veterans (www.embraceavet.org).

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
