FREEPORT — During the month of September the library is very pleased to be hosting a solo exhibit of wildlife and fine art photography by Mid-coast Maine resident Leon Vanella. Vanella captures the intricate beauty of animals and birds in the wild with stunning clarity while his landscapes inspire, and his abstract photographs stimulate the imagination.
Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy Leon Vanella’s exceptional photography on exhibit in the main reading area of the Freeport Community Library during the month of September only.
For directions to the library see its website: www.freeportlibrary.com or call 865-3307. And, for more specific information on Leon’s photography, see his website at: www.leonvanella.com

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
